I’m a multidisciplinary designer with over 10 years of deep experience in motion design, prototyping and UX/UI for digital experiences across automotive and luxury e-commerce sectors.

My experience lies in translating research into interactive prototypes and design assets that communicate insights and strategy in engaging ways.

Professional Experience

Senior Designer - Ford Design | Ford Motor Company
Nov 2021 - Present

My role within Ford Design Europe is to document the processes and rationale behind Ford’s most iconic vehicles, translating inspiration into tangible storytelling assets that elevate the role design plays in the development of vehicles like Transit, Mustang, Capri and Explorer.

The role is about creating design stories that feel accessible to internal and external audiences.

Working on multiple projects a year, I bring emotional language to stories gathered from field research and also create digital prototypes to communicate future experiences.

My role and deliverables include:

  • Visual Storytelling: Producing videos and motion graphics to bring future scenarios and customer insights to life.

  • Written Communication: Clear, concise, and engaging copy for various communication channels, making sure HCD’s messaging is consistent.

  • Rapid Prototyping: Designing rapid UI prototypes to quickly test and iterate on early-stage concepts using a combination of Figma and Protopie.

  • Collaborative Workshops: Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to foster engagement across different functions within Ford.

  • Mentorship & Leadership: Mentoring junior Communication Designers, delegating tasks where necessary and upskilling in motion and video practices.

  • Experiential Design: Curating immersive events for senior stakeholders to bringing the future of Ford to life through imagined experiences.

Motion Designer - Yoox Net-A-Porter Group

As a Motion Designer within YNAP Group's Experience team, I defined the visual language and interactive motion for the company's future digital experiences. During a period of digital transformation, I was responsible for elevating the luxury brand experience across web and app with thoughtful motion design to aid the user’s ability to consume content, discover products and make purchases across Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter.

My role and deliverables included:

  • Interactive Prototyping: Rapidly prototyped web and app motion interactions using Principle, Figma, and After Effects, creating animations and user flows.

  • Vision Videos: Created compelling pitch videos to showcase new designs and encourage stakeholder buy-in.

  • Ground-up Motion Design: Designed motion patterns to consistently express the brand’s DNA and delivered documentation for developer handoffs.

Video Producer - Three UK
Nov 2013 - Sep 2018

As the dedicated Video Producer for Three UK, I drove video engagement though the creation of bitesize, public-facing help and support videos for nearly 5 years. I owned the entire video production lifecycle, from script to screen, consistently delivering 4-5 videos per month to Three's YouTube channel.

Key Achievements:

  • 80% increase in video engagement: Optimised content through analytics to increase overall viewership between Q1 2015 and Q2 2016.

  • Mentored and Managed Talent: Supervised a Junior Video Producer from 2016-2018, overseeing her professional development and daily project responsibilities

 

Video Marketing Junior - Bang & Olufsen

I produced animations and shot product tutorials and 3D videos to promote B&O products and services online. This was my first experience working with a luxury brand and it gave me exposure to the way in which those kinds of products and services should be marketed. I was also part of the sales team.

Motion Design Mentor - Created Academy
Sep 2019 - Jun 2020

I was approached to be a Mentor to students who were participating in a Motion Design course run by Created Academy in White City, London. Once a month I hosted a 1 hour mentoring session (per student, 3 students) for people undertaking the course. My role was to provide software support, tutorials and speak about my experiences in the design industry.

This was a paid position that I did in my spare time whilst working full-time for YNAP Group.

 

Freelance Motion, Video and Brand Creative
2015 - 2018

In addition to full-time roles at established companies, I have worked with a number of individual clients to create an array of brand assets in the past. Previous projects have included sizzle reels, brand videos, logos and brand identities for use across digital platforms. I have created work for West Ham Utd, Ted Baker, Spektrum and other clients.
