FORD MOTOR COMPANY - SENIOR COMMUNICATION DESIGNER
NOV ‘21 - PRESENT
I work in Ford’s global innovation lab, D-Ford. The function of D-Ford is to pioneer human-centred design in the wider organisation.
My role is to work closely with project teams to help them communicate future context, customer traits and key experiential concepts in the form of prototypes that have been tested with users for desirability and with the business for feasibility and viability. At D-Ford, we use the Roger Martin method to communicate strategic choices Ford must make and communicate those through bringing emotional language and engaging stories from fieldwork.
My role and deliverables vary depending on the context of the work but can include:
- Creating videos and motion graphics
- Designing pitch decks
- Script and copywriting for different communication channels
- Designing rapid UI prototypes
- Facilitating workshops with stakeholders to drive engagement in the work
- Supporting junior Communication Designers with leadership and task delegation
- Using Experiential Design to curate immersive events for senior stakeholders
YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP - MOTION DESIGNER
SEPT ‘18 - NOV ‘21
I was a Motion Designer for YNAP Group. As part of the company’s Experience team, my role was to design and prototype motion-based interactions for web and app and define the look and feel for YNAP’s future physical and digital experiences.
My responsibilities included:
- Prototyping using Principle, Figma and After Effects
- Creating vision videos as part of future-facing internal pitch decks
- Running workshops
- Handing off motion specifications to the development team for build
THREE UK - VIDEO PRODUCER
NOV ‘13 - SEPT ‘18
For just under 5 years, I was the producer of public-facing support videos for mobile network, Three. I was responsible for the end-to-end video production process including script, filming, edit and upload, producing 4-5 videos for Three’s YouTube channel per month.
During my time at Three I contributed to an 80% increase in video engagement and between ‘16 and ‘18, I managed a Junior Video Producer - overseeing her personal development and day-to-day project responsibilities.
BANG & OLUFSEN - VIDEO AND MARKETING
SEPT ‘12 - NOV ‘13
I produced animations and shot product tutorials and 3D videos to promote B&O products and services online. This was my first experience working with a luxury brand and it gave me exposure to the way in which those kinds of products and services should be marketed. I was also part of the sales team.
CREATED ACADEMY - MOTION DESIGN MENTOR
SEPT ‘19 - JUNE ‘20
I was approached to be a Mentor to students who were participating in a Motion Design course run by Created Academy in White City, London. Once a month I hosted a 1 hour mentoring session (per student, 3 students) for people undertaking the course. My role was to provide software support, tutorials and speak about my experiences in the design industry.
This was a paid position that I did in my spare time whilst working full-time for YNAP Group.
FREELANCE VIDEO, MOTION & BRAND EXPERIENCE CONSULTING
2015 - 2018
In addition to full-time roles at established companies, I have worked with a number of individual clients to create an array of brand assets in the past. Previous projects have included sizzle reels, brand videos, logos and brand identities for use across digital platforms. I have created work for West Ham Utd, Ted Baker, Spektrum and other clients.

Voluntary work experience. Shadowing production team working on This Is England ‘88, producing and checking call sheets, logging footage and labelling tapes and drives.
